Academic Prerequisites by Program Level
To ensure academic readiness and theological alignment, FMI maintains direct and clear entry requirements for all incoming students:
- Certificates & Associate Degrees: Requires a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent secondary educational credential.
- Bachelor's Degrees: Requires a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent secondary credential.
- Master's Degrees: Requires an earned Bachelor's degree or equivalent theological/academic standing from an authorized institution.
- Doctorate Degrees: Requires an earned Master's degree in a related biblical, theological, or ministerial discipline.
The 5-Step Admissions Process
We have streamlined our enrollment system so that you can apply and begin your studies without unnecessary administrative delay. The online application takes approximately fifteen minutes:
- Step 1: Program Selection — Select your desired certificate or degree program from our catalog and indicate your intended academic start term.
- Step 2: About You — Provide your basic contact information, date of birth, mailing address, and current contact details.
- Step 3: Academic & Ministry Background — Document your academic history, church affiliation, active years in ministry, and select if you want transfer or life-experience credits evaluated.
- Step 4: Statement of Calling & Reference — Share a brief personal statement detailing your calling to Christian service and supply a personal/ministerial recommendation reference.
- Step 5: Review & Pay — Confirm required consumer disclosures regarding FMI's non-accredited status, complete standard human verification, and securely submit the one-time $150 application and registration fee.
Application Checklist
Before your application dossier can be evaluated by the Admissions Committee, the following items must be submitted or arranged:
- Complete the 15-minute online application form.
- Submit the non-refundable $150 application and registration fee via secure Stripe checkout.
- Order official transcripts from all prior post-secondary institutions and have them sent directly to the FMI Registrar's Office.
- Provide contact information for your pastor or ministry mentor for recommendation verification.
